Welcome to the IM Nashville Injury Section
Injuries are best defined as any type of physical harm to the body. Injuries can occur with intention (such as homicide or suicide) or as a motor vehicle crash or bicycle crash. Recoveries from injuries vary as it depends on the location of the injury in the body and how harmful the injury is. In this Injury section, the presented injury data will come in the form of maps, data extraction, and graphs. Click on the relevant category below to view the particular data for that type of injury.
The first injury topic is Youth Violence. This effort was undertaken in collaboration with the Metro Public Health Department with support from Cooperative Agreement Number U49 CE001091, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC). All other topics will be coming shortly and updated on this portal.
